87-year-old man killed in tragic motor vehicle collision

Car accidents happen when we least expect them to. Nevertheless, we are all vulnerable to getting injured in them. Indeed, if you’re someone who travels on San Diego roads — by car, bus, bicycle, skateboard or feet — you’re in danger of getting hurt. That’s why everyone needs to take precautions to prevent a fatal accident from happening.

Unfortunately, whatever precautions a driver of a passenger van carrying several senior citizens took late last month were not enough to prevent a fatal accident. An 87-year-old man was critically injured in the tragic rollover crash that happened around 10:40 a.m. on a Friday. Unfortunately, later that evening, his family members reported that the man succumbed to his injuries.

The crash occurred while the 87-year-old was riding in a passenger transport van. The driver of the van, along with three other senior citizens, incurred minor injuries as a result of the collision. The 87-year-old suffered a broken femur, a severe cut and a concussion. By 11:15 p.m. that evening, the elderly man died.

Every time a fatal car crash happens, family members will struggle to come to terms with the unexpected loss of their loved one. They will have a lot of questions, and they will want to know why their loved one died. They may also want to seek justice and financial restitution in court by filing a wrongful death claim. In addition to bringing financial compensation, a successfully navigated wrongful death lawsuit may also serve to bring much-needed closure to family members regarding the tragic loss of their relative.
